Men's Retreat 2001 

Just a quick update for you on the 2001 Men's Retreat:

Things are cooking along now. The theme for 2001 will be "Men of Purpose"
-- we'll be focusing on being men who are aware of the purposes God has
for us in the different areas of our lives. Speakers are still being
confirmed: a mailing will be sent to everyone on our mailing list when we
have that finalized.

New this year: We're going to experiment with a "track" format. We'll
split up for three different sessions that will focus our theme on
specific areas of interest. You'll be able to choose between a Family
track, a Leadership track, and a Christ in Culture track. There will also
be a separate track for teens. There'll still be plenty of time to be
together, but we believe that the track format will allow for deeper
reflection into the purposes that God wants to achieve in the different
areas of our lives.

Prices will remain the same: $45 to stay in a cabin, $65 for a Retreat
Center room. As always, the Retreat Center will be first come, first
served.

are appreciated. We have to pay a deposit for the camp...)

If you haven't ever attended the Retreat, I would highly recommend it. Please encourage the men of your church to be a part of our 2001 retreat.

If you're interested, please CALL or E-MAIL me (773-725-2835, patrickodum@juno.com) with the names of anyone who'll be coming. The dead-line for 2001 registration fees will be announced as the date draws nearer.
These fees can be in by March 2001 by mail (Northwest Church of Christ, 4602 N. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago, IL 60630), or just pay at the Retreat. (Make checks payable to Northwest Church of Christ.)

Retreat Center reservations are on a first come, first serve basis and they have a history of filling up fast.
Fees for this special weekend include two meals, refreshments, and accommodations in COMFORTABLE
cabins.

If you've attended the retreat and left your address in previous years, you  should receive information in the mail when the date draws near. Your congregation should also receive info; please help by getting it to our men so that we all can know about the retreat.

Men and boys aged 12 and up are encouraged to attend. We encourage every man in your congregation to come, and to personally invite a son, a grandson, a father, a grandfather, or a friend.

Registration deadline is March 31, 2000.

Cost of the retreat is $45 to stay in a cabin, or $65 to stay in a 2-bed retreat center room with a private bathroom.  This cost covers lodging, Friday night refreshments, 2 meals on Saturday, and unlimited coffee, tea, or lemonade.
